I’m Prince Kempster, a contemporary painter with a focus on colour, broad brushstrokes, kitsch ceramics and anything that makes me feel like I’m at the feet on my grandmother again, listening to her talk.

My art explores nostalgia, grief, queerness, joy and connection. As well as being a reflection of my inner wonderland of weirdness and fun.

I’ve always been making art and crafting. I am deeply passionate about art education and accessibility. Art education has been a safe space for me when traditional education left me feeling isolated and confused.
